Hey everyone, so I realize that this site is more design conscious, but I ran across this website and thought it could be helpful. My friend has a lactose intolerant child and this product has really improved his life! Kids gotta have cupcakes sometimes! Anyways, check it out...

So, I recently started reading the book belonging to the above blog title, and I can actually relate to Mr. Robert Wilder, and our lil "chicken" (as my wife often refers to our boy) hasn't even hatched. If you or any Dads out there are in need of a good laugh, AND have a great sense of humor and do not mind an F-bomb here and there, OK everywhere, go buy this book!
The chicken, or Liam Archer Hlavach as he will soon be known is due on my birthday (8/10) and I couldn't be more excited. It is har…

This is basically a tool for me to journal the challenges of starting a business, having a two year old son, and expecting a second child in January - all this while my current job has been 'disestablished'.
We have started a business to import children's furniture from Offi Kids to distribute to retailers in New Zealand. This venture has been in the pipeline for 8 months but really only kicked off seriously in February 2007 when we found out the company I work for was up for sale and

I have a son, so I have to shop for boy stuff. I could be completely insane, or it could be that girl swag takes up about 3/4 of every store, and boy stuff is usually somewhere back by the exposed plumbing.

It has been a very busy summer of travel for our family. With the kids hitting ages 6 and 8, we have reached our travel tipping point. Our children are now self sufficient little units, with the power to feed, dress, wash, brush, ask nicely, not throw a fit, and enjoy life as a child should. Our hard work has payed off, and it's nice to see the results.
Road trips are now a lot of fun. Music cranking windows down kinda fun, with only the occasional threat from me to pull the car over on the hig…

This is a photo of Hillary Lang from Wee Wonderfuls' son's new bedroom (wow - that was right out of Ferris Bueller's Day Off). He loves it. I love it. My favorite details are the fabric shutters and the built-in desk. She's also just decorated her daughter's nursery, and

With their slick advertising and even slicker toy cars,

A friend of mine shared a quote with me the other day:
"The closest a man can get to immortality is having a son."
I thought it was a great quote; but, I also wondered how much truth there was in it. Erica and I are expecting a son soon. In a couple of short weeks he will join our 20 month-old daughter in the tiny second bedroom of our apartment.
The idea that having a son could somehow help you live forever is somewhat attractive, no doubt bolstered by dreams of taking h

I want to first congratulate coochicoos on their new addition! I just know it's going to grow up to be an asset to the web parenting community!
The second thing I want to say is that I accidentally loaded my photo and can't get it to change - this is typical of my day-to-day life. I have this photo somewhere on my computer because it's from an ad for a drug that alleviates morning sickness "So she can make breakfast again." Uh, thanks, Mr. Drug company man. I think it's vintage-ly funny…
