With their slick advertising and even slicker toy cars,
Automoblox is blowing up all over the web...and my living room. See, each car comes apart, almost completely. Some days, it's just a single tire, other days my bare feet gingerly step over a plastic roof to only come crashing down on one of the really, really hard and poke-y passengers. I'd love to say it's all worth it because they are so very cool, but slick design means nothing when your living area is a virtual land mine of parts.
Which leads me to my other love/hate toy relationship - Geotrax. Easily one of the coolest things to come out of the Fisher-Price family since Little People, Geotrax are tuff enuff to handle rough play, easy enough for toddlers to figure out and very high on the list of toys with the most pieces. They're still cool.
So cool, I guess, that people are posting Geotrax crazy configurations,
hacks,
fan sites and
videos (thanks to
Z Recommends). Collectively, the whole lot of sites, evil plans and film gave me a flashback to when Dewey and his dad from
Malcolm in the Middle played Legos together and ended up in an all-out Godzilla-like war.
